New Found Movie Interest

I watched Slumdog Millionaire for the firs time last month and I've been meaning to blog about it for the longest! Let me just start by saying the this movie touched me emotionally in so many ways. I know it sounds corny but it is true. This epic movie stars Dev Patel as an Indian "Slumdog", Jamal, who some how manges to end up on Indian's version on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" and wins by chance of past experiences helping him answer seemingly impossible questions! A slumdog is like an undesireable, poorest of the poor, in Indian. I won't ruin it for people who have not seen it yet but it turns out money was not his only reason for going on the show. Must see 10 out of 10!

List of Favorite Uncoming Actors:
1. Kyle Galner
2. Dev Patel
3. Amanda Seyfried

Oldies but Goodies

1. The Pianist
-Can you tell I'm a huge Adrien Brody fan? =]

2. Remember The Titans

3. Signs
-Even if Mel Gibson has gone off the deep end hahaha.

These are just a few random movies that I have re-watched within the last month. Its never a bad thing to brush up on some goods flicks. I make it a point of mine to do so as to tsken in parts I may have missed or just be re entertained lol.

So whats one of your favorite oldies? Leave it in a comment, I would love your feed back =]

My Top Choices: Summer 2010

1. Karate Kid

-It was the coolest movie! This is the type of movie that isnt just for little kids, you can see it with friends or family. Jayden Smith is judt like his father lol its too cute. For a little guy he is very very talented =]

2. Eclipse

-Obviously this is a suggestion for the TRUE 'Twilight Saga' fans. I didnt like a lot of the changes they made from the book to the movie (I like the books better) but it was still a really good movie.

3. Predators (Not out yet) July 9th

-I WILL BE SEEING THIS MOVIE! I love Adrien Brody...I love Predator (the original). This is at the top of my must see list for the summer.

Greatest Movie of 2010? Yes!

Iron Man 2 was everything and more then what I thought it would be! There is action and comedy and ACTION. Robert Downy Jr. is sarcastic and sexy (I just wanted to add the sexy) as Iron Man. Scarlett Johanson kicked butt. Mickey Rourke creeped me out big time as a big, scary Russian man aka Whiplash. Samuel L. Jackson was mysterious and bad a$$ as Nick Fury. I don't wanna give a way too much you just have to see it all for yourself. So here's everything in a nutshell...the whole movie and everyone in it gets an A+ in my book. So everyone needs to go see it and if you don't your only excuse is that you live under a rock or have never heard of a movie theater. PS. Make sure you stay after all the credits for a surprise ending :] It's gonna take a minute but its worth it!

1. Titanic (1997)
-Let's just face it, this list wouldn't even matter with out this timeless movie.

This list is a combination of my favorites, legit top romance/romantic comedy lists that I found online, and my followers' feedback. I personally think this is a great list and has all different types of romance depending on the mood your trying to set...not to say that movies that aren't on here are not good movies (just no room). I would personally like to thank Rachel McAdams for being the leading lady in #2 and #3. She is such an amazing actress I couldn't even imagine those two movies having someone else in her place.

If there's any movies that you would have liked to see on the list let me know! I love feedback :] and like always comments are welcomed.

Freddy K. 2010 Review

1..2..Freddy's coming for you

I'm going to try to make my review as non bias as possible and not give too much away...so here I go. I give the movie overall a C+ and the only reason I don't give it a C- or D+ is because, and only because, of Jackie Earle Haley's performance as Freddy Krueger. I totally believed that he was the psycho serial killer that he was portraying. Everything from the way he talked down to the way he carried his knife glove was perfect! I kept getting chills every time he came on the screen! I truly believed he was Freddy Krueger. I think it was because the director decided to make Freddy more "serious and sinister" compared to the 1984 Freddy played by Robert Englund that was "comical". Other then that I was not impressed with the new, young cast...bad acting I guess. That does not go for ever member though. I feel that Kyle Gallner (Quentin), you may know him from "Jennifer's Body" and "The Haunting in Connecticut", did a good job but I'm guessing that is because he has some experience in film.

Jackie Earle Haley= A
Kyle Gallner=C+
Everyone else in the movie=D
Movie Average=C+

You'll have to see for yourself what was left out and what was changed though...if you have seen the original 1984 film it won't be that hard to make note of the changes. If you've never seen the original then this movie might be a B- to you since you can not compare the two. For a *must see* on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being HAVE TO SEE) I say 5...all depends on your taste for thriller movies.

Comments welcomed :] or give me your own review if you disagree with mines.

*Top 10 Must See 2010*

10. Resident Evil: Afterlife (Sept. 10th)

9. Predators (July 7th)

8. Paranormal Activity 2 (Oct. 22nd)

7. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (Nov. 19th)

6. Letters To Juliet (May 14th)

5. The Karate Kid (June 11th)

4. The Last Airbender (July 2nd)

3. Sex and The City 2 (May 27th)

2. Eclipse (June 30th)

1. Iron Man 2 (May 7th)

2010 is a year of remakes and sequels, or in Twilight's case sagas. Edward Cullen is definitely not the only person to get excited about this year. Personally I'm happy to see Will Smith's son, Jaden Smith, staring along side Jackie Chan in the Karate Kid! Then there's Adrien Brody (The Pianist) staring in the remake film of the 1987 thriller "Predator", which is entitled "Predators" (#9). With Brody's previous roles always being so humble and soft-spoken it will be interesting to see how he handles a role with so much action and violence. "Dear John" sweetheart Amanda Sayfried stars in her 2nd romantic movie of the year called "Letters to Juliet"...I guess Amanda+letters to hunks+romance=movie magic!

Romance, Comedy, Thriller, Suspense, Remakes, Harry Potter and Bella Swan. What a great year! :]

Comments Welcomed :]
